Leisure

This part of England is recognised as being one of the most interesting and beautiful in the country.  Usually, lessons are held in the morning, on 5 days a week, so that you can explore the surroundings.  The area is full of antiquities with prehistoric standing stones and pretty villages as well as having many magnificent beaches, hidden coves, and towering cliffs.  Surfing is a popular sport here.

Many famous artists have made this part of Cornwall their home, among them Barbara Hepworth and Ben Nicholson, Naum Gabo, Patrick Heron - all were captivated by the incredible light, the colours of the sea and the varied landscape.  Not only artists but writers, too, were fascinated by the area - Dylan Thomas, Virginia Woolf, D.H. Lawrence and Daphne du Maurier.  St. Ives, an old fishing village situated a few miles away, boasts many studios open to the public, as well as the famous Tate Gallery South West.

Fees

Cost of tuition is £23 an hour for 1-to-1 lessons, £15 an hour each for 2 students to one teacher.  We suggest 2 or 3 hours per morning on 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.  Of course, if you would prefer afternoon lessons, that could probably be arranged.  We can email you an application form asking for details of your requirements, assessing your present level of English, and with full details of method of payment.  We ask for a deposit of 20% of the total so as to secure your place.  You may use the contact form on the next page, or email us direct, details below.
